On December 25, 1890, it was announced that a university would be established in Payne County. Since then, Oklahoma State has gone from a small, rural school to having five campuses with six colleges and countless career paths ranging from architecture to hospitality. OSU started with fewer than 100 students based primarily in the county and has grown to 25,000 students from all over the world. OStateTV’s Meghan Robinson sits down with the head of OSU archives, David Peters, to learn more about the history of the university.
