On July 1, 2021, Dr. Kayse Shrum became the first female president of Oklahoma State University. Prior to this groundbreaking achievement, Dr. Shrum served as President of OSU Center of Health Sciences, was a practicing pediatrician, and an accomplished athlete. As of the end July of July, only 40% of Oklahomans are fully vaccinated. Part of this effort includes the OSU School of Global Studies and Partnerships adopting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals also known as SDG’s, as the framework for global partnerships and key initiatives. The list of sustainability initiatives is long, but includes reducing food waste, helping with food insecurity and recycling.
