Chemical engineering professor Dr. Heather Fahlenkamp discusses producing artificial tissue for organs and developing artificial immune systems for medical research models. The goal is to create an artificial pancreas and lungs as well as an allergy model to test treatments for diseases and allergies without risking human health.
